2015 Oscar Winners Bring Attention to ALS

Last night, the 2015 Academy Award winners for both Best Actor (Eddie Redmayne) and Best Actress (Julianne Moore) brought attention to those fighting ALS during their acceptance speeches.

Redmayne, who won Best Actor for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking, an ALS patient, dedicated his award to Hawking and those fighting Lou Gehrig’s disease. Julianne Moore, winner of Best Actress for “Still Alice” also paid tribute to one of the film’s creators, writer/director Richard Glatzer, who is also currently battling ALS.
